In contrast, we utilize Grade 50 steel (50,000 PSI minimum yield strength) for all of our root rake grapples. For some compact tractor attachments needing strength without excess weight, we apply AR400 plate steel (150,000 PSI minimum yield strength). While raking roots and debris, there is a risk that materials could climb against the back of your grapple, potentially disrupting your hydraulic cylinders. To counter this, most models feature standard cylinder guards for your peace of mind while you work.

Our grapple attachments incorporate NitroSteel® cylinder rods along with replaceable Teflon® coated bushings for enhanced functionality. These rods are designed for durability, resisting the flaking and pitting that can affect chrome-plated rods, which often compromise seals and internals. Moreover, the pins securing the grapple jaws span the entire hinge, promoting stability during use.

5. Two-Cylinder Open Jaw Design

The two-cylinder open jaw design for grapples V40 and higher allows for efficient gathering of significant brush and debris piles.
